Use the guidance below if your clinician has asked you to take part in a video consultation using Vidyo.
Take part in a video consultation using Patient Access
Tip: Make sure the device you are using to connect to the consultation is not on mute, or your clinician will not be able to hear you.
- Sign in to Patient Access in the usual way.
- In the Appointments section of the dashboard find the video consultation appointment.
- Beside the appointment details, click Join.
- If the Clinical has alredy joined you'll be connected directly, otherwise you'll be in 'the waiting room' unti they join you.
Settings and controls
During the consultation, you can use the Vidyo settings and controls as required. These are summarised in the table below; for full details of how to use them, see pages 8 and 9 of the Vidyo user guide.
View a list of the conference participants
Chat with a specific conference participant.
Invite participants to the conference (via the contact list or by email).
Launch the Control Meeting page and conference moderation options.
Chat with all participants.
Select how to view the participants’ video windows during the conference.
Select which application or screen you want to share in the conference.
Toggle among the applications or screens that are being shared.
Toggle your self-view preference.
Show or hide the video feed from your camera.
Mute, unmute and control your microphone volume.
Mute, unmute, and control your speakerphone volume.
Open the Configuration and Status screen.
Toggle between the conference time and a clock.
End the conference.
Enter and exit full screen.
