Note: Certain services, such as viewing your medical record, adding data using Apple Health, nominating a pharmacy, changing contact details and messaging, are only available to practices in England and certain parts of Northern Ireland at this time. Your practice decides which of the available services they make available to their patients.
You will need:
- An iPhone or iPod Touch running IOS 8.0.2 or higher, with the Apple Health and Patient Access apps installed.
- To have configured the Apple Health app on your device to start collecting data
- To have allowed the Patient Access app on your device to connect to the Apple Health app and start receiving the data.
The secure transmission of data from the Apple Health app to Patient Access can be enabled when you first load up the Patient Access app. You will be prompted to ‘Connect to Apple Health’. If you accept, then every time you log in to the Patient Access app, your latest data from Apple Health will be transferred into your Personal Health Record (PHR) within Patient Access.
You can also change the settings at any time on your iPhone via Settings > Patient Access.
